Some of our students submitted entries into a bridge building competition, testing their engineering skills to build a bridge that could hold as much weight as possible, while being as light as possible at the same time. According to high school science teacher, and sponsor, Lisa Oehrke, there were a total of 42 bridges in the competition. Here are the results for our students.
Faith Limas got 19th place. Her bridge held 19.85 lbs and weighed 0.64 oz - Efficiency 496.25%
Lianna Kozlenko: Bridge weight: 0.86 oz, and it held 50.33 lbs - Efficiency 936.37%
Sofi Amaya: Bridge weight: 0.75 oz Held 7.96 lbs - Efficiency 169.81%
So proud of all our students who participated. And we hope more will participate in this event next year.
