Clubs and Organizations
Pettis County R-V School District provides students with a wide range of opportunities to get involved in clubs and organizations, including FFA, FBLA, Band/Choir, and the Archery Club. These extracurricular activities allow students to explore their interests, develop new skills, and build meaningful connections with peers and mentors. Whether it’s learning leadership and agricultural science through FFA, gaining business knowledge and professionalism in FBLA, showcasing creative talents in Band/Choir, or honing precision and focus in Archery Club, each program offers unique benefits. Participation in these activities not only enriches the high school experience but also helps students build confidence, enhance teamwork, and prepare for future academic and career success.
FFA
The National FFA Organization (formerly known as Future Farmers of America) is a dynamic youth program that equips high school students with the skills and knowledge to excel in agricultural education and beyond. FFA offers hands-on experiences in leadership, public speaking, and teamwork while fostering a deeper understanding of agricultural science and business. Through participation in activities such as livestock judging, soil science competitions, and agricultural sales projects, students gain real-world insights and practical expertise that prepare them for future careers in agriculture, technology, and other industries.
Beyond technical skills, FFA promotes personal growth and leadership development, empowering students to take on challenges with confidence and purpose. Members have the opportunity to compete in Career Development Events (CDEs), earn scholarships, and attend national conventions where they connect with peers from across the country. These experiences not only broaden students' horizons but also cultivate a sense of responsibility, work ethic, and community involvement—valuable traits that benefit them throughout their lives, regardless of their career paths.
